Could my friend be charged with aiding and abetting for this?

Her ex boyfriend (children's father) was recently charged with conspiracy to distribute excess of 5 kilos. He does not read or write english and she has not spoken to him in 3 months prior to his arrest..and their relationship was not pleasant and they did not speak regularly for the past 2 years or so. However, she received his paperwork from his family member and read over it quite a few times to get an understanding of what was going on. He called her house to speak to her children a week later and she asked him what was going on and if he understood what he was facing. He had no clue...he stated that someone read him the paperwork one time and he didnt really have a clear understanding of what was said or done. She then proceeds to clear up his misconceptions. he thought he was under investigation for a year, but she said no its only been 5 months according to the paperwork. She told him who the confidential sources were because he was unsure of who one of them were, and she knew because of the word in the street. She also asked him why he lied to her about money a CS was claiming was a drug debt owed to her kids father..when he told her the money was a loan to start a business. He then said the CS was lying and the money he owed her kids father was indeed a loan to start up his business. My friend was charged 2 days later for aiding and abetting and released the same day and placed on probation. She said the main focus of the probation was that the DEA did not want her to speak to her kids father at ALL! FOR NO REASON because it was against the law because now they are "co defendants" Since this was convo was on a federal phone (prison) and being monitored. Do you think the feds did not like her helping him to clearly understand what was being done and by who and for how long, etc...and that is why she was charged? What do you think she is facing? Do you think they will drop the charges on her once his case is over? Serious responses only because she has no part in any of his alleged activities..she has a fiance and new child and has moved on in her life years ago...she has no record and has never been in trouble in her life and does not understand what they are doing to her....someone please help....thank you....
