Engineering Physics, Civil Engineering and ABET questions?

I'm a student at the University of Michigan. I'm switching into its College of Engineering, and I was planning on doing their civil engineering program, but then I came across their engineering physics major and my interest is piqued. What can you do with an engineering physics degree? Is it possible, down the road, to get into something civil-engineering-related with engineering physics, or no? Also, Michigan's engineering physics degree is one of the two programs here that is not ABET accredited. What would that mean for me if I got my degree in engineering physics? I don't understand why it's not accredited--I read that U of M is the number 2 ranked school for engineering physics!
