Tongue piercings and work?

I'm looking for a job right now, the places I have prospects at have not said anything about my monroe piercing, I have a labret as well but I wear the retainer. I'm considering getting my tongue pierced pretty soon and am concerned about being able to talk for the few days after? I know a small percentage of people don't swell, but if I do will it impair my speech so much that I wouldn't be able to work??
