What is life like for blind students in public high school?

they would probably be encouraged to be homeschooled but in my school kids that find it difficult to walk are accompanied by a guide to help them in busy corridors, I guess if yu were blind you would need that constatly. I doubt that a blind person would fit in very well as they wouldn't be able to take part in regular activities. They will be able to hear in lessons but with Reading materials they would obviously need specially made books and things. The school would have to have a special needs unit of somekind though.
