I lost my license for 1 year?

I lost my license for 1 year on August 1/06 in Saskatchewan for impaired driving, it wasn’t smart I know and I had an Ontario license and now I live in BC. After my court date I went to work in the Arctic, after about a year I went to apply to get my license back not knowing I had to do the Back On Track coarse they have so I didn’t bother to do it, but now I need my licence for work reasons. Can anyone tell me if they been through this and what I might have to do? I know in Ontario after 3 or 5 years I might have to start from scratch again. Beginners level.
